A certification, not a checkbox
Every retail and wholesale CertaCars listing is backed by a reviewed certification before it ever reaches a buyer.
What CertaCars certified means
CertaCars certification confirms that inspection evidence for a vehicle was reviewed and approved according to our certification policy. It is a verification of evidence — not an automatic guarantee of mechanical condition, not a warranty, and not a manufacturer Certified Pre-Owned status.
Certification does not by itself include a warranty. Any warranty is stated separately by the selling dealer or a provider.
The certification workflow
- 1Draft & vehicle details entered
- 2Inspection required & submitted
- 3Under review by CertaCars
- 4Certified — or rejected / needs correction
- 5Published with the CertaCars badge
- 6Expires or is re-inspected on a schedule
